Best Buddies Citizens pairs adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in one-to-one friendships with adults in the community.

Through Best Buddies, you will be involved in events and initiatives, but more importantly, you will help individuals with IDD become part of mainstream society by creating a diverse and inclusive community for all.

Best Buddies is a flexible, fun, and inspiring opportunity that is perfect for anybody. We are asking YOU to become a part of this impactful program by being a friend to someone in our community. As a Peer Buddy, you commit to:

  •  One year of friendship

  •  Talk to your buddy once per week (i.e. phone, e-mail,

    Facebook, text)

  •  Spend time with your buddy once per month (i.e. dinner,

seeing a movie, taking a walk)

  •  Attend Best Buddies group events

  •  Be an advocate for people with intellectual and
