Graphic Designer

AZSA is looking for a Graphic Designer to join the Marketing and Communications Team. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we’d like to meet you.

AZSA's Graphic Designer

You’ll be the one to shape the visual aspects of websites, social media posts, powerpoints, sponsorship templates, event graphics, and more. You will be designing a wide variety of things across digital and offline media. The goal is to inspire and attract the target audience.

Responsibilities

Include some or all of the following:

• Conceptualizing visuals based on requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
• Test graphics across various media
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
• Create social media graphics, illustrations, powerpoint templates, and other designs
• Determine size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material, as well as font style and size
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary

Ideal Skill Set

• BS degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or relevant field
• Experience as a graphic designer or in a related field
• A strong eye for visual composition
• Able to give and receive constructive criticism
• Excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Canva)
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate design choices clearly
• Able to work independently or in a team

Time commitment: Approximately 5-10 Hours Per Week
