If you answered "yes!" to these questions then donate some of your time to help a neighbor in need during the COVID-19 crisis.
Helping Hands is a non-profit organization created to slow the spread of COVID-19 through tech-enabled, community volunteerism. We connect people who are most at-risk with those who can safely deliver critical items and provide various forms of assistance. Our community volunteers deliver groceries, medicine, and other necessary supplies to empower everyone to stay healthy and be as responsible as they can be.
Sign up to volunteer on the Helping Hands website and you can start helping immediately.
- Neighbors requesting help will appear on your personal dashboard and you can select which request you would like to help with.
- You'll then receive a text including the requestor's phone number so you can reach out and coordinate directly.
- Coordinate in advance which method of payment works best for who you're helping.
- After you shop, you'll do a contact-free drop off and the requestor will reimburse you for your purchases.
Have more time this week and less time next week? You decide when you are able to help. We must continue to support each other through the COVID-19 crisis, especially as the country slowly begins to reopen and the risk of spread increases. Let's keep our neighbors and loved ones safe by lending a helping hand!

At Helping Hands Community (HHC), we're building technology to empower the organizations that serve our communities. Our technology platform empowers community partners-including food banks and pantries, service providers, and healthcare organizations-to deliver groceries and other essential supplies at scale through our network of delivery partners and volunteers.
We're a nonprofit organization, founded by veterans of Uber, Facebook, and Google during the COVID-19 pandemic. After one year of operations, we're proud to report that the Helping Hands platform has partnered with 20+ organizations to deliver food to more than 60,000 U.S. households.
To grow and extend our impact far beyond the pandemic, we received a $250,000 seed investment from Pivotal Ventures, an innovation and incubation company created by Melinda Gates to advance social progress.At Helping Hands Community (HHC), we're building technology to empower the organizations that serve our communities. - Once you select a help request you have 48 hours to complete the volunteer run.
- Safety is our top priority. Learn more about our community guidelines on the Helping Hands website. We have put in place safety guidelines that incorporate CDC guidance to protect volunteers, requestors, and community members.
