Disaster Health Services Responders provide disaster health care by meeting the disaster related health needs of clients and providing support to other volunteers.

  1. Participation in chapter preparedness activities
  2. Support to disaster responses, shelter operations, emergency aid stations, outreach activities, and casework and recovery planning during a disaster relief operation.
  3. Disaster Health Services workers with a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician license are responsible for acting as chapter health reviewers and acting as Staff Wellness workers during a disaster relief operation.

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • At least one 24 hour (8 AM - 8 AM) shift per month. Optional Deployment opportunities during times of disaster: Minimum 10 day commitment for deployments
  • Active and unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Advanced Practice Nurse, Medical Doctor, Doctor of Osteopathy, Physician Assistant, EMT or Paramedic
