Accounting Volunteer Position--Job Description--Haiti-Now

Haiti Now (Ayiti Now Corp) is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Miami, Florida, dedicated to empowering Haitian girls living in domestic servitude to overcome poverty and exploitation to achieve economic security.

Role brief:

We are in need of someone who is passionate about accounting and expert in Google Sheets.
The accountant will be working on cost estimates for budgets in Farming and Surveying projects.

Responsibility and Requirement:

The main responsibility is to work on cost estimates for budgets.
We need volunteers who can do research to validate assumptions in terms of the estimated cost.
In some cases, we need to present the budgets according to specific requirements in those projects.
We need volunteers with Accountant top skills like Accounting, Reporting Skills, Estimating budgets, Reporting Research Results, Confidentiality, Problem Analysis, and Problem-Solving Skills, Initiative, Teamwork
The use of computer applications including google sheets, databases, Trello, Slack, and google docs.
Minimum volunteer hours expected: 5-7 hrs per week.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, the appropriate field of study or equivalent proven work experience.
Excellent accounting using Google Sheets and Administration skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience with creating financial statements
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
Proficiency in accounting and reporting standards, gaining experience in researching.
Knowledge with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
