Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Space

Located near the University of Nevada, Reno and home to the Great Reno Balloon Races, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is one of Washoe County's largest and most visited parks. Park Rangers are looking for volunteers to assist with the ongoing maintenance of the Nevada Farms and Families Area (once known as the Great Basin Adventure).

Volunteer positions include:

  • Gardener
  • Turkey Tender
  • Maintenance
  • Discovery Room assistance
  • Tractor Garage Attendant
  • Herman's Pond volunteer
  • Special Event Assistant

  • There is no set time commitment. These are ongoing volunteer opportunities, however we can also take students needing a set number of hours for a school service requirement.
