Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Space

Located near the University of Nevada, Reno and home to the Great Reno Balloon Races, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is one of Washoe County's largest and most visited parks. Park Rangers are looking for volunteers to assist with the ongoing maintenance of the Nevada Farms and Families Area (once known as the Great Basin Adventure).

Volunteer positions include:

  • Gardener
  • Chicken Tender
  • Maintenance
  • Discovery Room assistance
  • Tractor Garage Attendant
  • Herman's Pond volunteer
  • Special Event Assistant

In addition to these specific positions, we are also always looking for groups of volunteers interested in a one day cleanup or special project. Eagle Scout projects are also welcome!
