Hospice volunteering offers an invaluable opportunity to gain professional and personal growth while assisting those who are in need. Contributing to the hospice patient's quality of life is an team effort. Non-medical volunteering is needed in the Claremore area. Come join our team! Volunteers are an essential part of our interdisciplinary team. Compassus Hospice volunteers serve in a multitude of ways, including offering patient companionship such as reading a book, engaging in conversation, actively listening, creating a Life Book to help patient in processing memories. Volunteers may also assist with special events such as memorial services and veteran pinning ceremonies. Bereavement care volunteers may choose to attend local grief groups and offer compassion and or assist in making care phone calls to families.
If you would like information on the opportunities available, I'd love to answer your questions. We provide training and I will walk with you in this serving opportunity. Compassus Hospice covers the cost of the State of OK requirement of fingerprinting and TB testing.
