Graphic Design Volunteer

Roles & Responsibilities

Purpose : A Graphic Design volunteer will assist Muddy Paws Rescue staff with content creation for various projects that will be used digitally and in print. You will create materials that are in line with the Muddy Paws Rescue style guide and branding requirements.

Reports To: Marketing Director/Volunteer Manager

Time Commitment: Approximately 1-5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure design and content consistently aligns with the Muddy Paws brand and positively communicates messaging
    • Have a complete understanding of current Muddy Paws Rescue branding and style guidelines
    • Collaborate with the Marketing and Development teams to identify opportunities to further develop MPR branding
    • Assist other volunteers in creating work that effectively represents MPR’s style and branding
  • Offer design-specific support for projects and ensure that all submissions are on-brand before being sent to staff for final approval

Desired qualifications:

  • Graphic Design experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with a variety of software programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Flash
  • Knowledge of how to develop and maintain brand identities through multi-channel marketing
  • Experience with project management
