Purpose : The Graphic Design Creative Lead volunteer will use their professional judgment to assess and approve design for MPR creative projects. The Creative Lead will supervise and guide other volunteer videographers, artists, and designers to create materials that are in line with the Muddy Paws Rescue style guide and branding requirements.
Reports To: Marketing Director
Time Commitment: Approximately 5 hours per week
Ensure design and content consistently aligns with the Muddy Paws brand and positively communicates messaging
Have a complete understanding of current Muddy Paws Rescue branding and style guidelines
Collaborate with the Marketing and Development teams to identify opportunities to further develop MPR branding
Lead, and review work designed by the creative team in the production of all web, print, and digital marketing collateral
Assist other volunteers in creating work that effectively represents MPR’s style and branding
Mentor and encourage creative team members to foster a positive work environment
Oversee the completion of all work projects assigned to members of the creative team
Serve as a liaison between staff and creative volunteers
Monitor all project due dates to ensure they are completed in a timely manner
Provide volunteers with constructive feedback as needed
Offer design-specific support for projects and ensure that all submission are on-brand before being sent to staff for final approval
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with a variety of software programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Flash
Knowledge of how to develop and maintain brand identities through multi-channel marketing
Recent hands-on experience with applying design, videography, copy, and web best practices

Muddy Paws Pack members, both human and canine, receive support through our foster program and comprehensive adoption process, and our community is ever-growing.
