Transportation Assistant at Tubman East in Maplewood

  • Help transport residents safely and promptly from Tubman East in Maplewood to designated locations in the community including Sun Ray Shopping Center using a Tubman Vehicle. Volunteer will enable clients to connect in the community, have a positive impact on the quality of their lives, and build positive, safe, and supportive relationships with clients.

    Position Qualifications:
    • Have a valid driver's license, current insurance, a good driving record
    • Clear communication, good decision-making and time-management skills
    • Comfort with driving a van (no special license required)
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries
    • Ability to work with diverse teams and clients to foster a culturally inclusive environment

RSVP offers maximum flexibility for people 55 and over who want to find challenging, rewarding, and significant service opportunities in their communities. RSVP Volunteers work with local organizations to have impact on critical needs in several focus areas: literacy, housing, food security, independence and well-being for seniors and persons with disabilities, economic opportunity, and service to veterans and military personnel and their families. We give volunteers the flexibility to decide who and how frequently they serve and we support volunteers with placement assistance, free supplemental insurance, and other benefits.
