Project Falcon is a high school student-led initiative that creates free websites and online stores for struggling small businesses. We’re looking for high school volunteers with experience in web design or general business acumen.

As a volunteer for Project Falcon, you will be asked to help with one of 3 things:

  1. Instruct HTML/CSS classes for middle school students
  2. Make Websites for the small businesses that we help
  3. Reach out to businesses, propose our free website opportunity to them

Project Falcon is a program designed to educate students about the fundamentals of website development while providing them with the opportunity to contribute to their communities. Project Falcon also makes free websites to jumpstart small businesses and keep them afloat during COVID. Mission Statement

We at Elevate the Future (ETF) strive to provide youth with an extensive understanding of the skills needed in today’s society that are currently neglected in our traditional, outdated education system. We aim to inspire students, empowering them with skills prevalent in the 21st century and helping them apply these skills back into their communities.

Description

ETF is a global PVSA certifying nonprofit focused on inspiring passions within youth and giving them outlets to express those newfound passions to positively impact their communities. ETF has over 150 associates around the globe and 15 active chapters in 5 states and 5 countries. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, several ETF events were canceled around the world. Distraught by these cancellations, ETF sought to push through COVID-19 and bounce back at a pace faster than ever before. Since the COVID-19 situation, ETF has taken on 4 projects to further its mission on virtual platforms. First, ETF has held several global entrepreneurship summits with attendees from locations across several US states and countries including Australia and Ukraine. Second, ETF’s special needs division launched a massive awareness campaign to recognize and adjust educational efforts to provide more resources to special needs students. Third, ETF is hosting Cloud 9, a platform where student-led businesses compete against each other and are judged by world-class business leaders. Winners receive help in filing a patent on their creation along with mentorship from esteemed entrepreneurs. Fourth, ETF is helping local small businesses without websites expand their online presence during the current economic downturn by allowing middle school students, to whom ETF is teaching coding, to create websites for them to keep them afloat through the pandemic. ETF is pushing forward more powerfully than ever and we’re just getting started.
