The Fall Art Show Coordinator leads a committee heading the North Country Arts Council's flag ship event - the annual juried Fall Art Show (FAS). They are an an integral part of the NCAC team, facilitating all administrative aspects of the fall art show installation, with the goal of creating and implementing an exhibit that spotlight the best and brightest of our area.
Key areas of coordination include creating, tracking and maintaining multiple project schedules, coordinating with and selecting jurors, judges, artists and committee members for jurying of artist work, setting up/hanging work for display, coordination and implementation of fall art show opening reception and associated functions, and facilitating the teams’ forward movement.
Coordinating the financial tracking of gallery items for sale, including tracking consignment payments and inputting items in the online store.
Leading a committee responsible for:
1. Finding/selecting judges and jurors
2. Establishing timelines and event schedules
3. Coordinating with event venue with the assistance of NCAC board members/officers
4. Forwarding art entries to the juror for approval
5. Overseeing and coordinating with judges
6. Overseeing and coordinating hanging of the FAS exhibit
7. Organizing the event opening (entertainment, reception, featured artists, serving as emcee, etc.)
8. Coordinating with NCAC marketing team to develop marketing collateral/event program/online efforts
9. Establishing budget and procuring sponsors
The FAS has an established standard operating procedure and event plan, with the full support of the board of directors.
