Individual volunteers and supporters are critical to our mission. It’s passionate individuals that are the backbone of this movement, through contributions of time, money, and co-creating opportunities for impact.

We're on a mission to build a free, global, public, high-quality learning resource on learning topics that we're not formally educated on but have a significant impact on our lives. To do that, we need volunteers, like yourself, to join us in creating the microlearning that powers our platform, Rumie-Build (Netflix-like experience for learning).

We are looking for skilled volunteers (with deep insights & lived experiences) to author quality microlearning (called Bytes) on the 21st Century skills that you are most passionate about(e.g. digital literacy, personal finance, business acumen, identifying misinformation among many others).

We want to hear from you! If you are working at a company, let's explore how we can bring Rumie to you & set real goals around our impact. We've partnered with Fortune 1000s like LoyaltyOne & Amazon to transform their employees' insights into Bytes, for those with the least access but most to gain. If you want to independently contribute, send us a note & we'll reach out when individual volunteer acceptance opens up (anticipated timeline: September 2020)

While many things are paused or cancelled today in our pandemic-impacted world, giving should not be one of them. Inequities are amplifying & our end-to-end digital delivery model means we do not need to cancel the Rumie volunteer experience but rather, we need to put our foot on the accelerator!

Together, lets make life-changing learning possible for the world's most underserved.

Mission Statement

At Rumie, we create innovative technologies to bring down the barriers to learning, so that everyone can reach their potential.

Description

Rumie is an award-winning technology nonprofit, reducing barriers to learning for the world's most vulnerable. We work with the world's most trusted organizations to create, organize & distribute free, digital microlearning (called Bytes) on 21st Century Skills. Our mobile-first platform supports learners from underserved communities in 30+ countries, equipping them with the skills they need to thrive in our increasingly uncertain world.

As seen on Financial Post, Mashable & edSurge, recipient of the MIT Solve award & the Google Impact Challenge, subject of a Harvard Business School Case Study, named "Best Social Startup" by Global Entrepreneurship Week.

How does Rumie work?

  1. Our individual & corporate volunteers create Bytes on one (or more) learning categories.
  2. We organize & publish the Bytes onto our platform, Rumie-Learn (Netflix for Learning).
  3. Our partners distribute Rumie-Learn, help us reach learners at scale & amplify our impact.

We want to hear from you! If you are working at a company, we'd love to explore how we can bring Rumie to you & set real goals around our shared impact. We've partnered with Fortune 1000s like LoyaltyOne & Amazon to transform their employees' insights into Bytes, for those with the least access but most to gain. If you want to independently contribute, send us a note & we'll reach out when it opens up.
