Working from Home? Foster a mom cat + kittens or 1-2 kittens!! Supplies provided
Volunteers in Defense of Animals
We are looking for foster parents for mom cats with kittens, pregnant cats, and little kittens too!! We are running low and are in desperate need of more foster families to come forward! We teach everyone who is new to kitten-care!
Our rescue is based in La Puente/Rowland Heights, however we can provide transport at times for fosters who live far away from us.
We get calls constantly about kittens or cats needing rescue - and we have lots of mom cats incoming too.
We can work with exactly what you're comfortable with. If you want to just foster 1-2 kittens, we can do that. If you don't want to bottle feed and want kittens who are eating solid food, we can do that!! Just let us know! Fostering could be anywhere from 2 weeks - 10 entire weeks, again we work with what you're comfortable with. All you need is a room or even just a bathroom or unused shower space for kittens!!
Please apply at www.vida4animals.org/foster-application/ to get started, and we will get in touch about your preferences.
Fostering is also eligible for volunteer hours - this will be discussed after you have applied.
About Volunteers in Defense of Animals
19142 E Walnut Dr N, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, US
Our mission is to protect and help dogs and cats from homelessness neglect, abuse, cruelty and abandonment. VIDA does not belong to any one person but instead to all of its volunteers. We adopt out about 50-60 cats and dogs per month - we rescue dogs from high-kill shelters, low income neighborhoods, and from the streets of Mexico. We also have spay and neuter operations and have saved thousands of animals already. www.vida4animals.org www.instagram.com/vidarescue www.facebook.com/vidarescue
Volunteers in Defense of Animals is a non-profit organization working to end the suffering and mistreatment of dogs and cats in Southern California. We bring spay and neuter services to areas where families cannot afford them; we facilitate the rescue, foster care, and adoption of animals whenever possible, and we offer education and support to those involved in the care of animals.
We have found forever homes for hundreds of dogs and cats, with around 4-5 new adoptions taking place each week. Many of our dogs come from local high-kill shelters before they are euthanized and on the streets of both the US and Mexico. We also have spay/neuter operations in low-income neighborhoods in the US and in Mexico and have spayed/neutered thousands of pets.
