Do you have a passion for Digital Marketing and a heart for animal rescue? We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and fun-loving Social Media Intern to join our Operations team!

Responsibilities include: Research and write articles for the Center's Blog. ( Topics include rescue stories, advice for pet owners, marketing tips for animal shelters and more.) Craft social media posts for all platforms. ( Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok and Pinterest). Write and edit website copy and email newsletters. Strategize and execute ways to grow our Pinterest presence. Help create influencer marking strategy for the 2021 #RememberMeThursday campaign.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualities:

• Is a dynamic, detail-oriented writer accustomed to meeting deadlines
• Working knowledge of social media marketing strategy and research.
• General knowledge of animal rescue industry.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and tools.
• Excellent research skills/
• Is self driven and comfortable working independently.
• Works well with others. They are communicative and receptive to feedback.
• Can be flexible and change to adapt to needs of the program.
• Experience with photo editing software or apps a plus.

Timeline: May 2021 - September 2021
Flexible hours - 5-10 hours/week, Monday - Friday. between 8:30am - 5pm.
Work setting: 80% remote, 20% on-site. Intern will be invited to the Center for a tour and special projects as they arise, which will be communicated in advance.
