We are looking for a volunteer or two to serve as the Humane Society of Loudoun County (HSLC) TikTok Video Editor(s). TikTok is a social media platform for creating, sharing, and discovering short videos of lip-synching, dance, comedy, and talent. Given its extraordinary popularity, HSLC now has a presence on TikTok. We are hoping it will allow us to engage current and new audiences in our mission in a fun and exciting way.

Job Duties:

  • Editing TikTok videos submitted by volunteers.
  • Uploading and posting TikTok videos on HSLC's account.
Qualifications Needed:
  • Experience creating and editing videos on TikTok.
  • Understanding of basic TikTok trends.
  • Reliability and responsiveness.
We estimate these duties will require approximately 5-10 hours a month of work with turnaround timelines of one week from video submittal to editing to posting.

We are a foster-based, all-volunteer organization that saves and improves the lives of vulnerable animals by providing care and placing adoptable animals into loving forever homes.

Description

HSLC has been helping animals since our founding in 1966. HSLC has no paid staff nor a physical facility or shelter; all of our animals are in foster homes, display cages at local pet stores, or in temporary boarding until they are adopted into their furever homes.

Thanks to our volunteers and community support, HSLC helped thousands of animals in 2023:

  • Nearly 200 cats and dogs fostered
  • Over 200 community cats supported
  • Nearly 6,000 animals fed via the Loudoun Pet Pantry
