At-Home Volunteering: School Supply Packs

We are excited to share Action Day 2020 will be happening this year - it’ll just look a little different! Due to covid-19, and our community’s health and safety as top priorities, we’ve transformed this year’s Action Day to a virtual experience. The need for essential school supplies is greater than ever and you can Volunteer At Home to help ensure local students are set-up for success in the classroom this fall! Volunteering At Home is easy as 1-2-3!

1. Sign-up and enter the quantity and type of School Supply Packs you will assemble (Elementary or High School or both)

2. Purchase the school supply items and Volunteer At Home by placing all school supply items into a 2-gallon Ziploc bag. Label each Supply Pack with its type (Elementary or High School). Don’t forget to share photos and videos of your Volunteering At Home experience to your social and workplace channels using #VolunteerAtHome

3. Drop-off your completed School Supply Packs at a designated date and location. *United Way will place your completed School Supply Packs into a backpack for each student. We want to ensure all students have the full list of supplies to be successful in school. Therefore, only complete School Supply Packs will be accepted, no individual items please.
