Girls on the Run Coaches at Our 5k

Coach with Girls on the Run! For our spring season, there will be opportunities to coach either in-person or virtual teams for 8 weeks, twice per week. In-person teams will have a Covid-19 Health & Safety Plan to ensure a safe and successful season.

In-person teams will meet at schools, parks, or community centers for 90 minute long sessions and coaches can select their preferred site in the coach application. Virtual lessons: 60 minute long sessions will be held over your platform of choice (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.). Prior to the first day of practice, coaches will be trained online to deliver the curriculum which will cover virtual facilitation and engagement as well. Teams will consist of 2 coaches over the age of 18 and 6-12 girls between the ages of 8-13. The season will culminate with a non-competitive 5K to celebrate the girls' accomplishments! Specific end of season 5K details (such as the decision to be held virtually or an in-person team specific 5K) will be confirmed in April.

About Girls on the Run

P.O. Box 502, Ambler, PA 19002, US

Mission Statement

We believe that every girl can embrace who she is, can define who she wants to be, can rise to any challenge, can change the world. Can. We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Girls on the Run envisions a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.

Girls on the Run is a 10-week after-school program serving girls in Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware Counties, PA. We use the power of running to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.
