he i5 City Church at 681 Hollins Ferry Rd in Glen Burnie is seeking volunteers to support a planned historic 100,000 Pounds of Food Giveaway to feed those in need in the Greater Glen Burnie area.

https://i5.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/420834 On July 11 (Sat), 12 (Sun), and 15 (Wed) the church is looking for volunteers to distribute flyers announcing the Food Giveaway. This will be a safe,no-contact activity with hanging signs on door handles or mail boxes. Volunteers will be assigned by neighborhood. The actual Food Giveaway is on Sunday, July 19

  • Volunteer Food Delivery to individuals who cannot get themselves to the church because of disability or lack of transportation.
    • Volunteers are asked to report to the church at 10:00 AM to receive assignments by area based on the amount of food they feel comfortable delivering. Where possible, volunteers may support their own neighborhoods.
    • Each individual in need will get three bags of groceries
    • This will be a safe no-contact activity, with grocery bags placed on the stoop or doorstep of citizens in the greater Glen Burnie area identified by the church.

  • Ability to deliver up to three bags of food to each recipient. Delivery assignments made by neighborhood. All drivers must have a valid, current driver's license.
  • Ability to lift a 12 pound bag of food. Wearing a protective mask and surgical gloves.
