ORGANIZATION: Duwara Consciousness Foundation

We are serving wholesome, nutritious meals to San Diego's homeless on a daily basis during the COVID-19 pandemic out of a food trailer. Out of this food trailer, we have a distribution network covering homeless across San Diego County, as far south as San Ysidro and as far north as Carlsbad. Our volunteers come and wrap burritos to be distributed to the needy across the County as well as in locally in downtown.

In response to best practices during the COVID-19 outbreak, we are limiting our volunteers as per County health guidelines, and asking all volunteers to practice excellent hygiene (hand-washing and sanitization), as well as stay inside the food trailer during service. Because of these limitations, we ask that volunteers sign up responsibly, as we need all 3 spots filled in order to effectively serve over 300 people per day!

We currently operate San Diego's largest, 100% donation-based mobile shower operation. We provide much needed hygiene practices to our city's most vulnerable; we are human dignity champions!
