LifeTies is a non-profit organization whose mission is to nurture wellness and self-sufficiency in vulnerable youth, young adults and their families. It is our vision that every youth and young adult can enjoy life's possibilities and have the resources to be healthy, connected and contributing members of their communities. Unfortunately the mental health challenges our youth deal with are being exacerbated by this global health crisis and we need the support of volunteers now more than ever.

We are recruiting volunteers (1 per country) to facilitate a 1 hour Virtual Cooking & Cultural Exploration workshop during which the youth in our Group Homes will be guided in making a recipe and while cooking, learn some interesting information about the country being explored.

Our youth provided the following countries / recipes they are interested in:
Italy (lasagna)
Jamaica (Jerk chicken or other popular dishes)
Japan (Traditional Ramen)
Mexico (Quesadilla, guacamole & chips, salsa)
Thailand (Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles)

Ideally, we would like to conduct these workshops on either Mondays or Wednesdays at 11 AM Eastern Time but will explore other possible dates/times if needed.
