Help safely ensure food staples get to our community!
Help us get food to our clients , AAPI elders who are isolated during COVID-19. Asian Counseling and Referral Service provides 435 meals to the community each day, Monday - Friday. We are seeking volunteer drivers to deliver food to the homes of our clients or other community centers either once a week or every other week. Routes generally take between 60 - 90 minutes to complete and on average, we would ask for your assistance between 10 - 20 deliveries that would be on your route. No in-person contact would be required. Mileage reimbursement provided.
Location:
- Routes would start at our main facility (3639 Martin Luther King Jr. Way S.)
- Delivery locations are typically in and around Seattle
Times:
- Deliveries are needed typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays and can take place between 12 - 4
- Deliveries can take between 1 - 3 hours
- Ideal commitment to two days per week but negotiable
Requirements:
- 18+ welcome
- have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance
- Ownership of a smart phone and willingness to use for navigation and communication (reimbursements are available)
- commitment to wearing a mask and social distancing while making deliveries
- Must undergo ACRS driver onboarding including:
- Completing online driver safety training
- Completing online driver abstract
- Proving proof of valid insurance
Volunteer Commitment : Weekly commitment for ideally three days for three months
COVID-19 precautions at the site:
- Complete ability to socially distance (no in-person contact required)
- Gloves can be provided
- Mask is provided

Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization offering a broad array of human services and behavioral health programs to Asian Pacific Americans in King County. ACRS is the largest multiservice organization serving all the different Asian Pacific American communities - immigrants, refugees and American born - in the Pacific Northwest.
