Seeking a Friend for Derek, a funny and kind man who lives in Chestnut hill with his family and dog. Derek has Autism Spectrum Disorder and can struggle with social situations at times, but he is very excited to have a 1:1 relationship with a new friend. He also enjoys film and animation, volunteering, reading, going to museums, and watching movies! Derek is willing to have a friend who will bring him out of his comfort zone and try new things with him. He would also benefit from having a Friend who is patient and understanding.
JBBBS is looking for a volunteer who could spend time with Derek once or twice a month for a year. Meetups are currently virtual but will transition back to in-person meetings when safe and allowed. Our amazing Clinical Match Specialists will also provide match support to help your friendship succeed!
JEWISH AND NON-JEWISH VOLUNTEERS WELCOME!
