Do you love one or more forms of art? Do you enjoy encouraging youth by sharing your love of art? Become an Art Buddies Mentor!
Art Buddies is a mentoring program specifically for adult mentors and youth who have a shared interest in art. Art and artistic expression of all kinds have the power to unite and connect us, which is the perfect opportunity to support and encourage the youth of our community. Whether it's traditional forms of art like painting or drawing, or other art forms like photography, digital art, music, or spoken word, we believe that art is a beautiful foundation from which to connect with and empower youth!
As an Art Buddies mentor, you'll meet with your "Little" twice a month for a fun, encouraging activity that reflects your shared interests. Beginning in July 2021, you and your Little will be invited to attend monthly outings organized by Big Brothers Big Sisters in which you and your Little will join other Art Buddies participants at an art-themed event such as an exhibit, class, or concert.
You do not have to be a professional artist to be an Art Buddy! College students, adults, and retirees are welcome to apply.
