DESCRIPTION Gather provides food to school aged children when school is on vacation; kids who would normally qualify for free or reduced lunch are not receiving that because there is no school. With Gather’s MEALS 4 KIDS Program, we go to 2 locations every Tuesday in Rochester and set up a Free Farmer’s Market.

RESPONSIBILITIES Volunteers will unload food from trucks, set up food stations, and keep food station/tables replenished with groceries, maintain social distancing, and offer support as needed to members/families getting their food.

REQUIREMENTS Volunteers must be able to stand for at least 2 hours, ability to lift 40 lbs is required, and this event is rain or shine outdoors.

If interested in joining, please fill out a registration and wait to hear back about signing up!

Mission Statement

To make the Greater Seacoast a hunger-free community. To do this we: • distribute nourishing food to people who do not have enough to eat; • take a leadership role in building an equitable and sustainable regional food system; and, • galvanize public support for ending hunger

Gather serves those in our community experiencing hunger by providing nutritious food through innovative distribution programs and our Pantry Market. We offer nutrition education and recipes for healthy living. We collaborate with community partners to address the root causes of hunger throughout the Greater Seacoast.
