We are currently looking for volunteers interested in going out into the Little Tokyo community to conduct observations of the blocks and buildings in our geographic area. Training will be provided on block observations with a light breakfast as well!
Training and block observations will be conducted from 9:30am - 12:30pm on July 11th,18th and 25th.

What will be provided:
We understand that we are in the midst of a pandemic as well as the heat of summer, and will be providing hand sanitizer, wipes, water, snacks, and LTSC volunteer badges. We will also be providing clipboards and pens to those who will be going out, and access to computers to those who will be assisting with data input. While you will not be directly interacting with our residents, we just ask that you bring a well-equipped face mask to ensure the health and safety of each other.
Goal:
In Little Tokyo, our diverse community is united by growing inequalities that continue to affect our communities and we understand how integral community development and funding is to those that need it. We hope that you too can help us with this cause by doing this service for our community.

For over 40 years, Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC) has provided a safety net of social welfare and community development services to empower people and communities in need. LTSC provides culturally and linguistically appropriate services to the Japanese American community in the Greater Los Angeles area, builds multi-family affordable housing projects to uplift low-income neighborhoods of color throughout Los Angeles, and promotes equitable development and cultural preservation in the Little Tokyo neighborhood.
