American Red Cross of Northern California Coastal Region
Disaster Health Services Responders provide disaster health care by meeting the disaster related health needs of clients and providing support to other volunteers. The American Red Cross relies on the more than 20,000 nurses and other health professionals who bring our mission to life each day.
Health Services Team Member:
Provide disaster health care to clients affected by disasters, such as home fires. This may include replacing medications, replacing medical equipment, and providing basic first aid.
Requirements: Members must have an active license as a
Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Advanced Practice Nurse, Medical Doctor, Doctor of Osteopathy, Physician Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic.
Health Services members may also support large-scale shelter operations, outreach activities, and casework and recovery planning during a disaster relief operation.
