ORGANIZATION: The Animal Pad
As a 100% donation based and volunteer run organization, The Animal Pad relies solely on donations to function and keep saving dogs! Last year alone, we rescued nearly 1,000 dogs from the streets of Mexico and high-kill SD shelters, and have adopted out just shy of 2,400 dogs into loving forever homes since the pandemic began. Because our rescues are street dogs or come from situations of neglect or abuse, they typically require a lot more vet care than most and it's where the vast majority of our funds go toward. With that being said, we are searching for an amazing Grants Manager to join our Fundraising team!
The Grants Manager will help the Fundraising Director search for, edit, and submit grants for funding, and would be responsible for organizing potential grants, determining deadlines, and outlining the applications. Grant funding is absolutely CRUCIAL to the growth of TAP, so the Grants Manager's main focus will be assisting the Fundraising team in raising the necessary funds to continue rescuing these deserving dogs. This volunteer is not expected to write the actual grant applications, so no prior experience is necessary.
This is great experience for anyone interested in working in the non-profit field, and can be done remotely!

The Animal Pad was founded in 2010 and we are 100% volunteer run and donation based. We rescue dogs primarily off the streets of Mexico, and provide them full medical care and a loving foster home to heal in before they head to their adoptive home. In addition to rescuing, we have an activism arm called TAPACT where we bring the community together to tackle issues that affect dogs in hopes to evoke permanent change.
