Do you want to develop your front office skills? Are you comfortable greeting the public, working with computers, answering phones and handling money? Or would you like to be more comfortable? Join the Corvallis Community Center Front Desk Volunteer Staff.

Our Volunteer Receptionist are vital members of our Front Desk Team. They greet customers, answer phones, give facility tours to new visitors, process registrations on the computer, help keep the facility neat and tidy and perform other duties as assigned. Each volunteer receptionist works one or more shifts a week. Most shifts are four hours a day.

3 Shifts

  • 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM
    Monday-Friday, Must work one shift a week unless on a vacation to help stay current.
  • 12:00 PM to 04:00 PM
    Monday-Friday, Must work one shift a week unless on vacation in order to stay current with technology and information.
  • 04:00 PM to 06:30 PM
    Monday-Friday, Must work one shift a week to stay current.

Description

Corvallis Community Center provides recreational activities for adults of all ages. We provide classes and activities related to fitness, wellness, outdoor recreation, lectures, art, crafting, trips & tours, foreign language, cooking, astronomy, and much more. We recently opened up the Coffee Leaf Cafe on site to help 'create community over a cup of coffee'.

Our volunteers assist us in many ways at the Center volunteering on a regular basis or for special activities. Volunteers can regularly serve at: Front Desk, Cafe Baristas, Activity Hosts/Hostess, Computer Support Tech or serve at occasional events, decorators or trip host/hostess. Volunteers can also teach a class or lead a special interest or support group.
