ORGANIZATION: Food Share, Inc.

Event Description:

Help us run a drive thru pop-up food pantry at Harding Park. We need help setting-up, gathering names, manning entrance, manning exit, placing box of food into trunk of car, traffic control, breakdown and at this site.

These distributions will take place rain or shine.

MUST be 12 years of age or older to volunteer. Parent supervision is still required on-site for ages 12-16.

When: Every other Thursday

Starting April 1st every other Thursday public distribution will start at 10am.

Volunteer Shift time: 9AM-1PM (might leave earlier depending on line)

Attire: casual clothing, closed toed shoes. Please wear your own face mask. Disposable gloves will be provided. Stay 6 feet away from each other. This is labor intensive - you will either need to be able to pickup a 40lb box or stand for long periods of time.

We rely on your help. Please arrive on-site at the appointed time and day. Sign-in upon arrival and sign-out when you leave. If you are unavailable to attend, please remove yourself via the cancellation email or text you will receive as soon as you know you cannot make it. This gives any waiting list volunteers the opportunity to come in. If you are having problems cancelling your shift, please notify volunteer@foodshare.com or call or text 805-290-3479 stating you need to cancel your shift.

No court/probation service hours will be honored for helping at a pop-up site. All hours must be done at the Food Share warehouse. Please contact Volunteer Department at Food Share. volunteer@foodshare.com
