The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Sea Center typically hosts a beach cleanup at East Beach as part of California Coastal Cleanup Day, but this year, we’re protecting the coast by cleaning up our neighborhoods! Although we aren’t gathering on the beach, we can all clean up our own local part of the watershed. Protect wildlife by removing the neighborhood litter that winds up in storm drains, creeks, and rivers, all of which eventually lead to the ocean.
Every Saturday this September, from 9:00 AM to noon, grab your bag and gloves and help celebrate the coast by keeping your own neighborhood clean.
