Job Description
Have you ever thought about taking your skills and expertise and dedicating them to help a great non-profit?
Encore Fellowships are available in the North SF Bay area, for those considering retirement who wish to move to the social impact sector for their second act. Encore Fellowships provide paid, transitional engagements in non-profit organizations, usually part-time for a year, for those, typically 50+, with 20+ years experience.
Encore is looking for a fellow with HR expertise for a nonprofit focused on reducing poverty for families in the North Bay area of Oakland. Remote and Onsite.
Skills required: Executive Leadership, HR strategy and HR operations, DEI.
Work Schedule: 20 hours / week, Mix of onsite and remote work
Please APPLY ONLY if you satisfy ALL the following eligibility criteria:
- are based in the US and have work authorization,
- have 20+ years of work experience,
- can financially afford to take up a nonprofit fellowship at the rate of $25/hour on a 1099,
- do not have another primary job that takes up more than 25 hours a week during regular business hours,
- can stay committed through the completion of a fellowship for 3, 6, or 12 month projects.

Applicants apply to be considered as a Fellow and are then matched to opportunities needing their skills and experience and in their geographical location through interviews with host organizations.
Fellowships include a $25,000 stipend for 1000 hours, education on the sector, and networking with a cohort of peers.
