NYSoM (New York State of Mind) is a multiservice community organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families living in the communities we serve. We aim to further our mission through:

Community Events - we host a multitude of events, often educational or recreational in nature, throughout the year with the hopes of offering residents in our target communities a positive alternative to their normal surroundings.

Community Outreach Programs - we offer a number of programs directly to sectors of our target communities including senior citizens, children, young adults & the homeless.

We are seeking a Volunteer Social Media/ Marketing Manager to manage and be the virtual face of NYSoM Group. The responsibilities of this include:

· Update NYSoM social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) with event information and updates.

· Create content in regard to past, present, and future, events, volunteering efforts, and communicating NYSoM activity.

· Coordinator social media events and linking said social media accounts to the NYSoM website.

· Editing and managing of the NYSoM Website.

· Cooperating with our Community Manager to pipeline volunteering needs.

Qualifications

· Must be 18+ years old

· 1-3 Years of experience in Social Media Management relations OR

· Active or completed education in business, journalism, marketing, or a related field.

· General knowledge of search engine optimization.

· Good communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
