On Point for College
Phone outreach remains one of the most effective ways to connect with our students. Volunteers can be involved in recurring or non-recurring outreach. Calls may be geared towards wellness checks, life needs assessments, graduation calls, or the promotion of OPFC events. As a remote option, it offers flexibility for those with busy schedules and allows individuals to support OPFC students directly from the comfort of home. We leave it up to the volunteer to determine when they would like to make calls. Student caseloads are assigned according the number of hours the volunteer has available.
About On Point for College
488 W. Onondaga St., Syracuse, NY 13202, US
We break down barriers that prevent young, underserved individuals from achieving education and career success.
On Point for College is a not-for-profit education and career attainment support program established in 1999. We aid individuals in overcoming the barriers to post-secondary education by helping them access and succeed in college and training and certificate programs.
We also help them leverage their skills and educations into meaningful employment opportunities. Since 1999, volunteers have played a critical role in making it possible for On Point to help more than 10,000 individuals pursue their dreams of higher education.
