Summary: The Foster Assistant will perform a variety of tasks depending on scheduled projects and weekly routines from the office at our South Elgin Shelter. This role will include onboarding new foster families, preparing for animal transport, and assigning administrative tasks as assigned by the Foster Coordinator. This position helps to extend the resources in the Foster Department to assist and direct the needs of our foster families and foster animals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Contacting current fosters of upcoming vaccination dates
- Entering vaccinations and treatments into a database
- Onboarding New Fosters
- Maintenance of office space
- Other duties specifically around coordination of animal transports
