During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of both COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
We are launching several online volunteer courses in July and August but the first, to be released on Wednesday 1 July, will focus on the below:
16 modules based on 10 years of research and 8 expeditions around South Africa. Each module introduces you to a project category and includes tasks and goals based on our research and linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Global Goals: Food | Water | Education | Health | Energy | Climate Change | Wildlife | Coasts | Arts | Sports | Careers | Events | Media | Retail | Corporate Social Responsibility | Tourism.
The course is designed as an online version of the hands-on experience available with The Expedition Project - where we combine project visits, project volunteering, small business collaboration and adventure travel. The amount of time and effort you put into our project modules and tasks is up to you, your time available and your experience you can offer. This makes it super flexible, very adaptable and still very beneficial for both you and us.

The EXPEDITION Project aims to connect inspiring, sustainable projects and individuals with each other and with the resources they need, and share their stories with the world.
Since 2011 we have travelled 32054km, visited 353 towns & 152 projects, with the help of 405 hospitality partners to meet and understand the challenges communities face. We then connect projects, communities, ideas and individuals with eachother, share their successes and help take them one step further with contacts, expetise and funding.
We are literally 'Driving Change'!
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
