Experienced Fundraiser Grant Writer for High-Tech COVID Treatment system

We are a non-profit organization building an infrastructure to develop, manufacture, distribute and operate remote-controlled ventilators and oxygen concentrators that will also gather high-resolution treatment data for scientific research and AI treatment optimization. The goal is to include everything that is needed to treat a patient completely remotely and automate large parts of the process.

These devices shall be distributed in return for voluntary contributions. It is needless to say that we need funds in order to do that. Our next step is the design of injection moulding tooling that can be used to mass manufacture these devices extremely cheaply. Currently, the cost of the Ventilator is expected to be 300$ while the oxygen concentrator needs more research before a price can be set but it is likely going to be even cheaper than the ventilator.

This tooling will cost may be up to USD 20,000 which is our priority to raise now. Immediately after that, we are in need of Stage B funding of USD 30,000 to produce 100 Ventilators for trials and testing. We have been very busy setting up fundraising bank accounts and solved many legal concerns already but since we are based in New Zealand still face some issues with fundraising in the US. If you have experience with these issues, we would highly appreciate even a short video call and any advice that you can give us.

Volunteer position description:

• Write coherent, organized and compelling proposals for donations, grants and crowdfunding profiles.
• Apply your knowledge of fundraising methods and plans to reach income goals.
• Collaborate with team members in the organization to assist with other fundraising projects and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
• Identify grant funding opportunities

Requirements:

• 2+ years grant writing experience
• Proficient with measuring and reaching income goals
• Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.
• Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong people skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Experience with Federal Grants preferred
