During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
We are a non-profit organization building an infrastructure to develop, manufacture, distribute and operate remote-controlled ventilators and oxygen concentrators that will also gather high-resolution treatment data for scientific research and treatment optimization.
Intensive care specialists are needed to help set up the rudimentary training and advice parameters to enable a degree of automated actuation of the emergency ventilator equipment. The aim is to establish and maintain protection mechanisms of this equipment in a substandard field environment where there may be no direct medical supervision of the required appropriate standard.
In time, statistical treatment suggestions based on the patient background and disease progression should be implemented as well
The equipment will be capable of being monitored and manipulated remotely by qualified professionals. However, failsafe design parameters of the equipment must protect patient safety in rudimentary clinics and medical system overload scenario homecare situations when no skilled medical supervision is available. User available settings under such circumstances must not exceed safe settings for the patient profile.
Furthermore, we are seeking to develop a free virtual training school that lets the participants interact with the data trained disease model that is simultaneously developed in a different team. The goal would be to develop several types of courses including a crash course for respiratory therapists to practice with this particular ventilator, remote care training for those wanting to give oversight over people in different countries and even full COVID-19 treatment training using additional videos and online exams.
Of course, nothing can replace hands-on training but in such global emergencies and especially in countries where almost no qualified professionals exist, we consider free and massively scalable training to be very valuable, probably more valuable than a ventilator itself.

Our mission is to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the world's medical workforce fighting COVID-19
We are a non-profit organization building an infrastructure to develop, manufacture, distribute and operate remote-controlled ventilators and oxygen concentrators that will also gather high-resolution treatment data for scientific research and treatment optimization.
Our equipment will be distributed on a "what you can pay" basis. Our Ventilator is different from other emergency Ventilators in that it will be controllable over the Internet, with the medical professional observing the patient over a phone camera, thus reducing viral load on the medical professionals at the front line, enabling those in stable countries to help and allowing one doctor to have an overview over many patients.
Our Ventilator is now in testing and we are finalizing fine air control. Parts cost for a single unit are 300$ but will drop in mass production and bulk ordering maybe even down to 200$.
Our roadmap consists of 4 Versions which can be deployed over the internet. It is envisaged that the Ventilator will be assembled by qualified volunteers, go through centralized quality control and then distributed to places of greatest needs on an international basis. Once enough funding is raised, a part of the workload will be outsourced to specialized companies.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
