This individual needs to be able to advise the designing and manufacturing process of low-cost but effective ventilator equipment and assist in the acquiring of FDA approval under the emergency conditions together with any other internationally recognised approvals.

As the equipment departs quite significantly from traditionally approved equipment standards necessitating the need for this individual become very familiar with the concepts in order to embrace and promote the first principles and a science-based and engineering level or have with regard for the emergency circumstance.

This involves thinking whereby the approach is from the safe and reliable gas transfer requirements innovating all the way in order to achieve the lowest possible cost with the maximum rate of manufacture while managing an acceptable level of risk given this current emergency.

A ventilator from first principles to increase the accumulated chances of survival in the COVID-19 Crisis


We are a non-profit charitable trust aiming to produce a low-cost Ventilator and distribute it for a "What you see fit" price around the world to those who need it the most. Our Ventilator is different from other emergency Ventilators in that it will be controllable over the Internet, with the medical professional observing the Patient over a phone camera, thus reducing viral load on the medical professionals at the front line, enabling those in stable countries to help and allowing one doctor to have an overview over many patients. Using latest technology, we seek to harvest the connectivity of our Ventilator to gather vast amounts of data to identify effective treatment patterns and automize as much of the treatment as possible, releasing pressure from overwhelmed facilities.

Version 1 of the Ventilator software is now in testing and we are working on the communication protocols and circuitry. Parts cost are currently less than 80$ but are estimated to rise to 150$

Our roadmap consists of 4 Versions which can be deployed over the internet. It is envisaged that the Ventilator will be assembled by qualified volunteers, go through centralized quality control and then distributed to places of greatest needs on an international basis. Once enough funding is raised, a part of the workload will be outsourced to specialized companies.
