We need your ideas! Teen Advisory Council (TAC) is a group of teens that meets once a month to evaluate teen programs and services offered by the Carrollton Public Library. Members collaborate with the Teen Librarian to plan upcoming events, help with youth services programs, and determine the best ways for the Library to help local teens. TAC membership provides opportunities to develop 21st century skills that are essential for success after high school, a chance to work as a team member and potentially as a team leader, and a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on the services provided to your peers.

This is a great way to earn volunteer credit while meeting other teens. Snacks and drinks will be offered at each meeting as well! Official members are invited to join in meetings on one Monday each month from 5:15-6:00 pm *exact dates TBD based on members' schedules*, beginning in October 2022.

Please feel free to contact Amanda Middlebrooks ( if you have any questions or concerns about this application or about joining TAC.

Requirements: TAC members must be in grades 9-12. Members must submit an application through this posting on VolunteerMatch. Members will be asked to participate in an interview and complete any additional steps required by the City of Carrollton and the teen librarian, Amanda Middlebrooks. Applications are due by September 2, 2022. Interested teens who applied and were interviewed will be notified no later than September 30, 2022 if they are accepted to be a part of the Teen Advisory Council (TAC) for the Carrollton Public Library.
*Note: If you were a member of TAC during the 2021-2022 school year, please submit your application again and state when you have served as a member. You will not need to have an additional interview.
