The Vail Valley Salvation Army stands ready to fight the pandemic. We are located at 322 E. Beaver Creek Blvd. in Avon, CO. Our food pantry is open to provide food assistance to families and individuals in need. We are looking for volunteers who would like to help our food pantry put together food boxes and bag produce. Food Pantry Helpers also clean refrigerators/freezers and sometimes help unload or pick up food deliveries. They might also be asked to help maintain cleanliness in the pantry and storage areas and hand out food to clients.
Due to COVID we can only accept groups up to 2 people. Pantry hours vary, but volunteer hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. Volunteers should be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Must be 18 years or older unless accompanied by a guardian. Exceptions are made for groups of minors on a case by case basis. Please note this building does not have A/C.
