COALITION OF VETERANS ORGANIZATIONS
MOST AMERICANS WANT TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO ASSURE THAT VETERANS RECEIVE THE HEALTH CARE AND SOCIAL SERVICES THAT MANY OF THEM DESPERATELY REQUIRE.
YET, THE VETS THEMSELVES OFTEN DO NOT KNOW WHOM TO TURN FOR GUIDANCE AND THIS DEFICIENCY IN OUR SYSTEM CAN LEAD TO GREAT HARDSHIP AND EVEN TRAGEDY NOT ONLY FOR THEM BUT FOR THEIR LOVED ONES, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN.
CVO IS LOOKING FOR PUBLIC SPIRITED CITIZENS TO ACT AS NEIGHBORHOOD ADVOCATES FOR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES RIGHT IN THEIR OWN NEIGHBORHOODS OR VILLAGE. THE JOB DESCRIPTION ENTAILS ENLISTING THE COOPERATION OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS IN LOCATING NEARBY VETERANS AND MAKING SURE THEY RECEIVE THE SUPPORT THEY NEED AND DESERVE.
THIS RESPONSIBILITY ALSO INCLUDES CREATING SOCIALIZING AND FUN OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILY MEMBERS OF THE VETERANS.
