Iraqi Children’s Hope is a 501c3 registered in Virginia - USA. Our mission is to enable Iraqi orphan children to become educated by removing barriers and by improving the diagnosis and treatment of disabilities such as autism and other learning deficits. In order to accomplish this, we must also empower and educate widowed mothers, most of whom have no preparation for supporting a family.
ICHope provides awareness and education about child/youth mental health issues and academic needs to ensure that they are properly diagnosed and receive services to be successful.
During the pandemic, we have extended our services by providing food baskets and monetary donations to over 8500 families in Iraq and the US.
We are seeking volunteers to help us expand our work within the United States and in Iraq. Our current needs include:
- Assistance with social media --an Arabic speaker is a plus (2-5) hours/week.
- Assistance in enhancing NGO strategies (2-5) hours/week.
- Assistance with networking (2-5) hours/week
- Website Publisher/Editor (5) hours/week
- Accountant (5) hours/week
Although we cannot offer any monetary compensation, we are more than happy to write letters of recommendation for any volunteers who want one.
