VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Help your immunocompromised community during this challenging time.
WHAT IT IS
Team up with Helping Hands, the Hubert Humphrey Clinic, and UberEats to deliver groceries to patients who are immunocompromised and/or seniors. We need volunteers to help us with traffic control and transferring groceries to Uber drivers.
The impoverished seniors and immunocompromised folks in Los Angeles need food and we have it! We just need your Helping Hands to help deliver it to them. :)
HOW TO SIGN UP (it’s easy!)
1. Select "I want to help" on this VolunteerMatch opportunity
2. You will receive a VolunteerMatch email that will guide you through creating a free profile* on the Helping Hands website (*We require volunteers to create an account to ensure they are complying with our Community Guidelines, www.helpinghands.community/community, for COVID-19 volunteering. If you already have an account you can skip this step!)
3. A Helping Hands representative will contact you about details for the event
WHAT TO EXPECT
Meet at the Hubert Humphrey Clinic. Address is:
5850 S Main St, Los Angeles, CA 90003
Once you arrive, look for the pop-up tent in the parking lot and ask for Kevin White to check-in and receive instructions.
For UberEats Delivery:
Expect to spend 3 hours unloading groceries and helping guide Uber drivers through the Hubert Humphrey Clinic's parking lot. We will have the pick up station set up at the back of the lot and will need volunteers to help:
- Guide Uber drivers to the rear lot entrance
- Guide Uber drivers to the exit only gate after pick up
- Check Uber apps for number of grocery pick ups
- Transfer groceries into Uber cars

There is plenty of free parking in the Hubert Humphrey Clinic's parking lot!
