MPVC is looking for Community Mobilizers to call communities and offer to provide free 10 minute covid-19 testing in partnership with individuals and community organizations interested in working with our nonprofit.

Community Mobilizer will identify groups and individuals interested in setting up free covid testing sites in their communities through out the southeastern US
Community Mobilizers will be the initial liaison between the local community contacts and the Project Director
Community Mobilizers initiate contact and connect MPVC with local partners in attempts to set up testing sites.
Community Mobilizers will call, email, text and message local contact,
Community Mobilizers must be proficient with Microsoft Office suites and various social media platforms to include but not limited to facebook, twitter, instagram etc

Moss Point Visionary Circle (MPVC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to assisting those affected by tragedy. We join the network of national, state/territorial/tribal and local organizations to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on racial and ethnic minority, rural and socially vulnerable populations. MPVC is actively providing community-level COVID-19 testing, telemedicine access, and social services in highly impacted or at-risk geographic areas. https://mosspointvisionary.org/

Description

The Moss Point Covid Community Outreach Project seeks to prevent and stop the spread of COVID-19 by eliminating health disparities in African American communities through awareness, testing, and contact tracing. We envision wellness and social well-being for all people in the region, including those of color residing in underserved communities and who are more likely to have serious, chronic and often preventable diseases as well as significantly higher mortality rates. Our non-profit work culture is based on integrity, trustworthiness, honesty, transparency, teamwork and accountability We are aligned with the federal government priority on covid-19 to Protect the Health of Americans Where They Live, Learn, Work and Play.

Goals and Tasks :
1) Stop the spread of covid-19 by flattening the curve by 33% statewide
2) Free community drive up covid testing with immediate physician access with a goal of testing 3% of the catchment area population and show a decrease in hot spot rates to 25%;
3) Improved reach of COVID-19-related public health messaging to racial and ethnic minority, rural and socially vulnerable populations reaching 10% of surrounding 6-county region through direct contact in 1 year;
4) Increased connection to healthcare and social services or racial and ethnic minority, rural and socially vulnerable populations hosting 24 testing/culture specific education events and organizing 24 partnered events per year;
