Blood Donor Ambassador
- Especially need volunteers for weekday shifts - Greet and thank potential donors - Take donor temperatures, observing all established safety protocols - Manage blood drive entrance, registration desk, and reception area ensuring donors are wearing masks and social distancing - Assist each donor with initial intake - Stock and clean hospitality and snack area - Alert professional staff immediately if a donor shows signs of feeling unwell - Exhibit professionalism and good Red Cross customer service skills, including respect, compassion, communication, collaboration, and competence - Gain strong sense of purpose - HELP SAVE LIVES!!
Blood Transportation Specialist (Driver)
- Deliver the gift of life! - Transport blood and related products from area blood drives to Philadelphia-based lab and/or from Philadelphia lab to area hospitals - Use a Red Cross branded vehicle or your own vehicle (reimbursement available) - Requires 3+ years clean driving record, proof of insurance and ability to lift up to 45 pounds
Commitment: 1-2 shifts per month based on your schedule and availability (about 4-5 hours per shift.) Free training provided along with masks, gloves and sanitizer.
Locations: Varies throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania (mobile drives) and/or fixed donation sites in Center City Philadelphia, Northeast Philadelphia, Willow Grove (Montgomery County) or West Chester (Chester County.)
