Paint Tacoma Beautiful is a program of Associated Ministries that provides free exterior painting to modest and low income homeowners during the spring and summer months. The Supply Specialist provides support to volunteer crews and staff with supply management and asset tracking, administrative organization, and home assessments. We are looking for an agile, organized volunteer who enjoys being a team player!

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain organization of supplies for volunteers and staff to easily access
• Keep records to track whereabouts of supplies and other assets
• Assist with supply loading, unloading, pick up, drop off and occasional errands
• Process homeowner applications and conduct home assessments as needed
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (primarily Word, Outlook and Excel)
• Positive team player
• Commitment to promoting an anti-racist, equity-driven culture
• Ability to volunteer 6 - 10 hours per week until September 30 th, 2020
• Must be able to lift up to 60lbs
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle (desired)

Since 1985 Paint Tacoma Beautiful has mobilized volunteers to paint houses free of charge for more than 2,200 low income, elderly, and disabled homeowners across Pierce County. This is a great opportunity for volunteers to visually see the impact they are making, and build community. We look forward to this season being a time to experience the joy of being together using safe, socially distanced practices. Many of the homeowners who apply to our program often live in isolation due to age, disabilities, and other factors that limit them from leaving their homes and engaging with the community. This program is all about showing up for them and building connections across generations, neighborhood lines, and other identities that separate us.
