Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia (HMHBGA) and Postpartum Support International - Georgia Chapter (PSI-GA) seeks qualified applicants to lead online support groups for pregnant women and new moms. We are looking for dedicated women to provide understanding and compassionate support to moms as they work through perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). Our goal is to increase the number of available support groups for new moms feeling overwhelmed, agitated, anxious, distracted, sad, stressed, or helpless related to their pregnancy or having their baby. Please note that support groups are not an opportunity for clinical therapy, but are a place to give social support and encouragement.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead a 60 minute minimum/90 minute maximum online support group for your county and surrounding counties every week or every other week (facilitation training provided).
Act as a resource for group participants during group sessions and your set available time.
Engage in ongoing development activities to increase knowledge related to maternal mental health.
Attend scheduled check-ins with Peer Support Specialist or designated liaison (twice a month during training, once a month after training).
