Prime Hospice is looking for volunteers to help with our hospice patients. Volunteers are the heart of Prime as they offer companionship to ease the end-of-life experience. Some of the direct care that volunteers can do with patients are:
- Read to patients
- Active listening to patients that want to talk
- Companionship
- Light housekeeping
- Polishing nails
- Singing or playing an instrument
- Stay with patient as care giver steps out to run errands
- Write letters
- Play cards
- Grocery shopping

Prime Hospice has the vision to enhance the end-of-life experience, bring peace and restoration for our patients and families. Our goal is to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and compassion from our team members including our volunteers. Volunteers are the heart of hospice as they are there for the patient and family during their time of need. Our volunteers assist patients in everyday tasks including: companionship, listening ear, help with light house work, playing games, reading to patients, playing games, running errands, grocery shopping and being a friendly face. Volunteers that wish to help within out office can complete filing, data entry, mailing out letters, making phone calls, and other administrative help.

- Must be at least 16
- Orientation or Training
- 1 - 4 hours a week.
- Volunteers are required to pass a drug test (or provide proof of medical marijuana card), complete and Tb screening, complete training and orientation prior to working with patients. Only volunteers who are 18 + may visit directly with patients.
