During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Help cheer up our group home adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Columbus area during the COVID-19 restrictions because they are not able to get out into the community as much. Send a monthly card with silly jokes, inspirational quotes or holiday themes. A great activity for students of any age, students for college or high school volunteer service requirements, scout troops, civic groups, church groups, family members or companies that want to get involved in their community. Handmade cards are the best but you are welcome to purchase cards also. You or your group will be matched to a home or homes and most volunteers adopt 4, 8 or 12 residents. Be creative and have fun from your home and make someone’s day by being a card buddy and send monthly cards.
