Black Connect’s Small Business Legal Services Program ("SBLS") is a volunteer program that will serve the needs of the Black business community by providing access to free or low cost legal services. Services through SBLS will be available to individuals who hold membership in Black Connect in the Small Business/Entrepreneur category and who own and operate a business that is located within the United States. Qualified members will be able to request legal assistance on many business-related matters.

We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to help coordinate the program. Your role will involve:

  • Performing outreach to bar associations and attorney networks to recruit attorneys and law firms
  • Responding to inquiries
  • Reviewing intake forms
  • Verifying attorney credentials
  • Matching members with attorneys
  • Maintaining communication with members and attorneys
  • Keeping accurate records

Black Connect is developing a business incubator that will provide assistance with every aspect of the business cycle from idea to income.

We empower our members with a diverse range of ideas, tools, and resources that support professional and economic development. All members are connected via the Black Connect mobile app and business networking platform ( blackconnect.com).
